Community Nurses

The team of district nurses and healthcare assistants provide nursing care for patients of all ages in the community. They can provide acute clinical care and have expertise in nursing terminally ill patients in their own homes. They provide support to both patient and carer and have a role as counsellor and health promoter in the community. Arrangements for care in the home are usually made by the doctors or on discharge from the hospital but should you wish to contact the nurse yourself, please telephone Forfar 468344 Monday to Friday 09:00 – 16:30 or telephone the surgery.

Health Visitors

Health visiting is a Monday to Friday service, offering both home visiting and clinic contacts. It is available to all families with children 0 – 16 years and assists families with the growth and development of their children, also assisting in areas of minor illness, immunisations, child development and management of the multiple areas of need around child behaviour and parenting. The service works closely with other agencies, including school health, social work, education, police and voluntary services to meet the needs of the child and their family. Should you wish to contact the health visitors please do so on Forfar 467095.
