If you are on regular medicines you can obtain them without an appointment. The right-hand side of the prescription gives you a list of your current repeat medication; this can be used as a re-order form by ticking the items you need.
You may obtain your repeat prescription in one of the following ways:
- Send in the right-hand side of the prescription with the items you require marked with a tick and an indication of which chemist you would like your prescription sent to OR with a self-addressed envelope and your new prescription will be posted back to you, but please allow three or four days for this.
- Visit the surgery between 10:30 and 16:00 to hand in the right-hand side. You may collect the prescription request yourself, or indicate your choice of chemist where you want your prescription request sent to.
- Phone our dedicated Prescription Phone Line on 01307 474921 giving full details of your name, date of birth, telephone contact number, the name of each separate medication required and specifying the chemist where you want your prescription request sent to. Telephone requests received after 16:00 will not be dealt with until the next working day.
- Order online - THE WAY OF ORDERING YOUR PRESCRIPTION IS CHANGING.
From 17th September 2018 we are no longer accepting email prescription requests. Vision Online Service is our new online ordering service enabling you to order repeat prescriptions at your convenience. If you would like to register, please print and complete our registration form or ask for one at reception.
Return the completed form to the practice in person, along with 2 valid forms of identification, for example photo ID, passport, driving licence or birth certificate.
Once you are registered, the practice will email you the information that will enable you to create a username and password.
To aid the transition to our new service we will accept both ways of ordering until mid September, after which time the email service will be unavailable.
Please avoid asking the doctor for repeat prescriptions during surgery consultations or during a house call.
Please try to order all items at one time for convenience and order in plenty of time so that you do not run out of your medication.
The practice requires ‘TWO WORKING DAYS’ NOTICE to prepare the repeat prescription order for the chemist and the chemist usually requires a further 24 hours to dispense the medication.
